Alfred Benesch & Company in Nashville is hiring a Structural Designer to join our Franklin or Nashville offices. You will design vehicular and pedestrian bridges, from simple to complex, and perform basic analysis and drafting of structural elements.

This position offers a hybrid schedule and the chance to work with experienced engineers on projects across the region. Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis, EI or ability to obtain, and 0–2+ years of design

Structural Designer

Benesch is hiring a Structural Designer to join our Franklin or Nashville office. As a Structural Designer, you will have the opportunity to design various types of vehicular and pedestrian bridges - from simple to complex bridges.

Location

This position will work out of our Franklin or Nashville office on a hybrid work schedule.

The Impact You Will Have

• Performing basic analysis of project elements
• Performing load development and designing calculations of project elements and checking work

What We Are Looking For

• BS in Civil Engineeringwith a structural emphasis or related discipline
• EIor ability to obtain.
• 0 to 2+years of structural design experience
• Excellent communication and client relation skills.
• Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing MicroStation.
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
• Ability to perform complex analysis and design.
• Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience working with TDOT is a benefit.
• Experience with MicroStation is a benefit.
