Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Procurement Analyst to oversee complex procurement functions and asset management, supporting administrative needs and client requests. The role emphasizes independent analysis and strategic sourcing to optimize costs.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office presence 3-5 days per week initially, with potential for remote work after six months based on performance. A Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years’ experience in procurement in a professional services environment.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Proven expertise in negotiating contracts, conducting detailed analysis, reviewing and drafting contract language, and achieving cost savings through strategic sourcing.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, including executives and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Firm policies and monitor sourcing processes.
• Compile data from diverse sources to analyze spend/usage.
• Research market conditions to inform pricing and supplier availability.
• Develop product/service specifications with procurement and business areas.
• Initiate RFx processes to obtain competitive quotes and proposals.
• Create complex supplier analyses and cost comparisons.
• Present recommendations to senior management for source selection.
• Negotiate costs, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers.
• Generate purchase orders and manage full lifecycle of each PO.
• Monitor delivery, expedites, and supplier performance issues.
• Support software licensing and hardware maintenance management processes.
• Perform other duties as requested.
