Job summary

DuPont seeks a Strategic Buyer for Facility and Site-Based Services across the Americas to own a spend portfolio that keeps sites running safely and efficiently. You will design sourcing approaches and drive category strategies in collaboration with Category Managers.

This onsite role is four days a week with one remote day, involving RFx events, supplier relationships, and compliance with procurement policies to deliver cost savings and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• A track record of negotiation wins and measurable savings.
• Working knowledge of contracting fundamentals and commercial terms.
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems (SAP, Coupa, or equivalent) and strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
• Preferred: Experience in facility and site services and contract manufacturing.
• Travel: Less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Put category strategy into action for your assigned spend and design the local or regional sourcing approach.
• Lead sourcing events end to end: bid analysis, supplier selection, negotiation, and award.
• Build and manage an annual savings pipeline against addressable spend, deliver committed targets, and report your progress.
• Keep RFx events tied to your savings pipeline and contract renewal calendar.
• Find value beyond price, including specification alignment, demand management, payment terms, logistics, and working capital.
• Own or co-own engagement plans for key suppliers with the Category Manager, and lead their execution.
• Run regular business reviews on performance, cost, risk, quality, and improvement opportunities, and document the results in call reports.
• Hold suppliers accountable to quality, delivery, and service expectations, and drive corrective action when needed.
• Keep approved supplier lists accurate in ERP and plant records.
• Assess and document supply risk across your portfolio, including single-source and sole-source exposure.
• Lead or support qualification ofalternate sources with technical, quality, and manufacturing partners.
• Raise emerging supply, pricing, or capacity risks early, with a clear mitigation plan.
• Negotiate and execute agreements that meet company standards, including removing evergreen and auto-renewal terms.
• Own the contract renewal calendar and start renegotiations well before contracts expire.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy, approval thresholds, and internal controls.
• Manage day-to-day buying: purchase orders, price and lead-time maintenance, and resolving invoice or delivery issues.
• Work with LOB stakeholders, manufacturing, R&D, and finance to align sourcing decisions with business priorities and confirm financial impact.
• Support new product introductions and specification changes by sourcing new materials and managing supplier transitions.
• Partner with facility management, operations, and site leadership to find savings, reduce operational and supply risk, and keep procurement aligned with budgets and compliance requirements.
