• Advanced negotiation skills and strong commercial judgment.
• The ability to communicate clearly and influence people without direct authority.
• The ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving project environment.
• High ethical standards.

Responsabilités

• Build and carry out sourcing strategies that fit each project's scope, schedule and budget.

• Assign projects to other buyers based on buy type and team workload.
• Run the full sourcing process for major packages: RFI/RFP/RFQ, technical and commercial bid evaluation, and award.
• Structure and negotiate complex contracts (lump-sum, reimbursable, unit-rate and hybrid), balancing risk and value.
• Design contracting strategies that fit each project's risk profile and current market conditions.
• Negotiate pricing, payment milestones, warranties, liquidated damages, retention and performance guarantees.
• Drive cost savings, cost avoidance and value engineering without compromising safety, quality or schedule.
• Manage currency, escalation and commodity-linked pricing on long-duration contracts.
• With the commodity buy team, qualify, evaluate and manage OEMs, fabricators, EPC contractors and engineering firms.
• Manage supplier performance through expediting, inspection and progress monitoring until delivery.
• Find and reduce schedule, quality, financial and single-source risks on the critical path.
• Ensure compliance with capital approval (AFE) processes, delegation of authority, safety rules and regulatory standards.
• Work with Engineering, Business, Legal, Finance and Operations to keep procurement in step with project milestones.
• Prepare executive-ready updates on capital commitments, savings, cash flow and procurement risk using Power BI and Excel.
• Support project audits, cost forecasting and closeout.

DuPont's Global Procurement team is looking for a Senior Project Buyer – Operating Materials & Services to lead procurement for capital and operational projects across the company.

What You'll Do

Shape sourcing strategy from the start

• Build and carry out sourcing strategies that fit each project's scope, schedule and budget.
• Get involved early in the project lifecycle to shape procurement and contracting decisions.
• Assign projects to other buyers based on buy type and team workload.

Build strong supplier and contractor partnerships

• With the commodity buy team, qualify, evaluate and manage OEMs, fabricators, EPC contractors and engineering firms.

Manage risk and governance

• Find and reduce schedule, quality, financial and single-source risks on the critical path.
• Ensure compliance with capital approval (AFE) processes, delegation of authority, safety rules and regulatory standards.

Work across functions and keep leaders informed

• Work with Engineering, Business, Legal, Finance and Operations to keep procurement in step with project milestones.

What You Bring

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related technical field
• 5+ years of procurement experience
• CPSM and/or PMP certification preferred

How Base Pay is Determined:

DuPont has job leveling frameworks that help organize roles based on progressive levels of responsibility, proficiency and qualifications. Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate. Each individual’s pay is based on a variety of factors, including their role and the associated pay range for that role, their geographic location (i.e., country, state, metropolitan area), as well as their skills, experience, education and certifications, and performance.

The Pay range for this role is $81,900.00 - $128,700.00 Annual
