Job summary

Mizuho is seeking a Storage & Backup Engineer to support day-to-day storage and data protection operations. You will participate in incident remediation, platform stability, and upgrade lifecycle execution across enterprise environments in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates have strong infrastructure fundamentals, hands-on storage/backup experience, and the ability to collaborate with virtualization, network, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of enterprise infrastructure with exposure to storage and backup.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAN/NAS storage in production.
• Experience with NetApp, HPE Alletra, Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, IBM Storwize/FlashSystem.
• Rubrik backup experience preferred.
• Understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS, LUNs, replication, capacity management.

Responsibilities

• Support remediation of storage and backup incidents and outages.
• Troubleshoot across storage, backup, compute, virtualization, and network teams.
• Perform routine storage provisioning, capacity planning, and decommissioning.
• Assist with replication, availability, and resiliency activities.
• Maintain runbooks, escalation paths, and recovery procedures.
• Support lifecycle planning including upgrades and maintenance.
