Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a Storage and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage hybrid storage environments across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will lead disaster recovery testing, optimize performance, and document architectures, policies, and SOPs for secure, scalable enterprise systems.

Applicants should have DoD clearance, high‑level certifications, and 5+ years in systems engineering with 2+ years managing hybrid storage across AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• DoD clearance required (secret or higher) and ability to obtain/maintain.
• IAT Level II certification or equivalent (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.).
• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications completed.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in systems engineering.
• 3+ years hybrid storage infra across AWS/Azure.
• 2+ years enterprise SAN, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and related storage tech.
• 2+ years backup/restore tooling (Cohesity, NetBackup, Azure Recovery, etc.).
• 2+ years supporting DoD/military IT environments.
• Proven cloud failovers, DR testing, and business continuity experience.

Responsibilities

• Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise storage and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on technical delivery and operational support across hybrid environments.
• Research and develop innovations for hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
• Ensure compliance with security baselines and regulatory mandates.
• Document configurations, SOPs, and architectural designs.
• Communicate risks, milestones, and designs to stakeholders.
• Monitor DR capabilities and document failover operations.
• Maintain high availability and performance of critical workloads in cloud.
• Administer storage arrays, Fibre Channel, NAS, and storage fabrics.
• Conduct health checks, capacity forecasting, and optimization.
• Perform storage analysis and performance tuning for tiered storage.
• Prepare technical reports on storage best practices and modernization.
