Job summary

ShipBob is hiring a Staff Industrial Engineer to shape future supply chain flows across our warehouse network. The role operates with autonomy to drive process improvements, develop new programs, and train teams to eliminate waste, reporting to the IE, Supply Chain Operations.

The candidate should bring 5+ years in Industrial Engineering, lean/six sigma expertise, CAD skills, and the ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Strong Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience.
• Up to 30% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve the efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Investigate, evaluate, develop project estimates, financial proposals, and manage a variety of operational projects.
• Facilitate and manage corrective and preventive action teams resulting from customer complaints, internal quality problems, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and guiding and/or participating on multiple process improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, cost saving analysis.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new and modified processes.
• Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent successful attainment of process improvement project goals.
• Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management best practices and procedures.
• Comply to all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.
