Tighe & Bond in Westfield, MA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team and support projects across accounts receivable, billing, and month-end close. You will help provide reliable financial information and timely reporting in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• 2–3 years accounting experience in a company setting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and controls.
• Experience with accounts receivable, collections, project accounting, billing, reconciliations, or month-end close preferred.
• Comfort learning accounting systems, working in Excel, and researching discrepancies.
• Ability to manage details and deadlines and communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients.
• Curiosity, follow-through, accuracy, and a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable, collections, project accounting, accounts payable, and general accounting activities
• Maintain client and project information, and assist with unit pricing and billing
• Follow up on collections and prepare bank reconciliations
• Research and set up vendors, and route vendor invoices
• Assist with month-end edit checks and close procedures
