Tighe & Bond in Westfield, MA, seeks a Staff Accountant for our Hybrid Accounting Team. You’ll support accounts receivable, billing, project accounting, and month-end close, helping deliver reliable financial information to clients and staff alike.

Required: a BS in a related field and 2–3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. We offer growth, collaboration, and a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a company setting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and controls.
• Experience with accounts receivable, collections, project accounting, billing, reconciliations, or month-end close.
• Comfort learning accounting systems, working in Excel, and researching discrepancies.
• Ability to manage details and deadlines and communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients.
• Curiosity, follow-through, accuracy, and a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable, collections, project accounting, accounts payable, and general accounting activities.
• Maintain client and project information, and assist with unit pricing and billing.
• Follow up on collections and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Research and set up vendors, and route vendor invoices.
• Assist with month-end edit checks and close procedures.
