Job summary

CP Engineers is seeking an Accounting Professional to support day-to-day accounting operations, payroll administration, accounts payable, financial reporting, and client billing. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, billing, or a related function is required.
• Experience using ADP or similar payroll platforms is preferred; ADP TotalSource is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting/ERP systems is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial records, payroll, invoices, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP, including reviewing payroll data and coordinating approvals.
• Prepare and distribute utilization reports to support leadership and project managers.
• Prepare and maintain revenue reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Manage full accounts payable process: invoice review, coding, approvals, payment processing, vendor records.
• Assist with monthly client billing by preparing billing information and coordinating with project managers.
• Maintain organized accounting records, reconciliations, files, and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end accounting activities and internal financial reporting processes.
• Communicate professionally with vendors, employees, project managers, and stakeholders regarding accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, reporting consistency, and workflow efficiency.
• Provide backup support for additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.
