Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking a Staff Accountant for the Chicago Loop area. The role focuses on general ledger accounting, month-end close, fixed assets, and full-cycle accounting with about one year of experience preferred.

Hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite) and a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year accompany the opportunity. The successful candidate will support A/P and A/R and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience in a Staff Accountant or similar role.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred; other ERP systems considered.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting preferred.
• Exposure to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger records.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of schedules.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare reconciliations.
• Monitor revenue and expenses for accurate accounting treatment.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for management.
