Job summary

LaSalle Network seeks a Staff Accountant for a 6+ month contract in a hybrid Downtown Chicago setting. The role focuses on month-end close, project accounting in Oracle, and balance sheet reconciliations. Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills are essential, with prior Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities include cost analysis, annual closings, and ensuring compliance with company policies while handling multiple priorities and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance preferred, or relevant coursework with 2 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Integrity and strong ethics; ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close for manufacturing and warehouse locations.
• Maintain Oracle Project Accounting activities including creation, review, reconciliation and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Record month-end journal entries and general ledger analysis in compliance with standards.
• Investigate variances and review plant cost results across periods.
• Support physical inventory reconciliations and respond to internal information requests.
• Suggest process improvements and participate in accounting process changes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in accounting practices.
