Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, or close processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to organize, reconcile, and analyze financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, well‑documented work.
• Demonstrated critical-thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to organize work, manage deadlines, and resolve accounting issues with stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly accounting close, post journal entries, ensure period accuracy.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, analyze variances, and drive items to resolution.
• Review client recovery checks and calculate refund, fee, and net amounts for AR team.
• Analyze GL activity and data to identify discrepancies or issues needing research.
• Maintain documentation supporting journal entries, reconciliations, and other activities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing schedules and requested documentation.
• Participate in projects to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiency.
• Cross-train across accounting responsibilities to ensure coverage during absences.
• Develop understanding of Katch’s business processes and flow through financial statements.
