Job summary

City of Phoenix is seeking a Database Administrator specialized in Oracle/SQL Server to support the Police Department’s Premier One RMS. The role focuses on permissions, query development, and SSRS reporting, with 75% on-site and 25% remote work in a hybrid environment.

You will collaborate with the external vendor and internal IT staff, ensure CJIS-compliant data handling, optimize queries, and document changes while delivering accurate, timely reports across multiple bureaus.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, permissions administration, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in SSRS report design, deployment, and management.
• Experience with large datasets in a public safety or enterprise environment (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and performance.
• Effective communication with vendors, technical staff, and operations.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting requests with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of data governance and RBAC.
• Experience with Premier One RMS (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage SQL Server database permissions for SSRS access.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and objects.
• Design, build, test, and deploy SSRS reports for Police Department bureaus.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate outputs.
• Troubleshoot SQL queries, report execution, and data integrity issues.
• Ensure data handling complies with CJIS, security standards, and IT governance.
• Document database changes, data workflows, permissions, and reports.
• Support data quality improvements and system integration.
