Job summary

Retirement Clearinghouse is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on data infrastructure, query optimization, and database deployment across development, staging, and production environments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of MS SQL Server administration, strong T-SQL and PowerShell skills, and experience with Always On Availability Groups. Hybrid work is offered, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MS SQL Server administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Experience evaluating SQL queries using execution plans, DMVs, Profiler or Extended Events.
• Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical requests submitted by end users of RCH products and systems.
• Analyze data to determine root cause of issues.
• Install and configure SQL database setups.
• Implement database schemas, tables, views, and data objects per standards.
• Work with application support and development teams for data changes.
• Migrate changes through development life cycle and deploy to production.
• Review SQL Server features and plan migrations or upgrades.
• Optimize and tune SQL code using execution plans and DMVs.
• Create and maintain database diagrams and operation documentation.
