Retirement Clearinghouse LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator for a hybrid work opportunity. The role requires residing in the Charlotte area with regular in-office presence one day per week and potential for remote work on other days.

The candidate will install and configure SQL databases, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity across environments. A BA/BS in IT and 2+ years of SQL Server experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of MS SQL Server administration experience or 2–4 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Experience evaluating SQL queries using execution plans, DMVs, Profiler or Extended Events.
• Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Experience with data warehousing and data warehousing tools is a plus.
• Experience with WhereScape Red is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and requests.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical requests submitted by end users of RCH products and systems.
• Analyze data to determine root cause of issues.
• Install and configure SQL database setups.
• Implement database schemas, tables, views, and data objects per standards.
• Adhere to Enterprise Query Standards.
• Collaborate with application support and development teams to implement data changes following change management policies.
• Collaborate with application support on quarterly releases.
• Review and optimize queries for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Migrate changes through development lifecycle to production.
• Review new SQL Server features and plan upgrades.
• Optimize and tune SQL code using execution plans, DMVs, and third-party tools.
• Create and maintain database diagrams and operation documentation.
