Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot in office operations.
• Strong data-entry and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with multiline phone systems and scheduling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Track physician orders and verify paperwork for procedures.
• Schedule surgery, pre- and post-operative appointments and instructions.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital for scheduling and boarding.
• Obtain/update insurance information and medical clearances as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of boarded cases and patient charts.
• Communicate with departments to ensure documents and authorization numbers are complete.
• Assist patients, answer questions, and provide necessary documentation.
• Keep scheduling books and charts updated; rearrange as needed.
