Job summary

SP Industries Inc. in Pocomoke City, MD is hiring a Sourcing Manager to create strategic sourcing solutions for labware consumables. You will negotiate supply agreements, coordinate ERP requirements, and manage supplier performance to meet cost and quality targets.

The role is hybrid, with 3-4 days onsite. Required are 5+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation and communication abilities, and a proven track record in cost reduction and supplier consolidation.

Qualifications

• BA or higher degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of purchasing or related materials experience.
• Track record of negotiating supply annual agreements.
• Excellent proactive communication and organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.
• Best cost evaluation and analysis of supplier spend and consolidation ability.
• Good judgment in choosing from multiple options and courses of conduct.
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.
• MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some Access is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supplier evaluation and selection, including negotiating terms and conditions.
• Sourcing new vendors by category and reviewing with management.
• Supplier management and auditing.
• Annual cost reduction execution and meeting annual goals.
• Work with engineering to reduce SKUs / complexity for best cost solutions.
• Autonomous decision making within approval guidelines.
• Assist site leadership in developing process and policy.
• Communicate and integrate with related functional areas.
• Assist with general responsibilities within tactical purchasing.
