Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Solution Architect to shape technical designs for defence infrastructure, including submarine maintenance, working with government clients, partners and design teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

You will lead architecture delivery, ensure alignment with standards, manage risks, and present designs in workshops. This hybrid role requires collaboration across teams and compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical architecture and solution design using Sparx EA and ArchiMate.
• Ability to communicate with and manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding of security principles and governance.
• Experience delivering complex systems integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Scope functional and non-functional requirements into high-level designs.
• Define system components, integration points and data flows.
• Present designs to stakeholders via workshops, proposals and visual storyboarding.
• Lead technical delivery, manage risks and coordinate with software partners to deploy.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural strategies and standards and select technologies to meet programme needs.
