Job summary

The New School in Chicago is seeking tutors to help undergraduate and graduate students with software like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Rhino, Figma, Blender, Premiere, After Effects, AutoCAD, Fusion, V‑Ray, Revit, SketchUp, and coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Unity, Arduino. You’ll assist learners across skill levels and maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include daily summaries, session notes, and leading workshops.

Qualifications

• High level of comfort with Adobe CS and other software.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Python highly preferred.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at The New School.
• Experience with ESL and graduate students preferred.
• GPA 3.0 or higher and reliability are expected.
• Excellent communication and punctuality, with 6+ tutoring hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Tutor undergrad and grad students in software like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Rhino, Figma, Blender, Premiere, After Effects, AutoCAD, Fusion, V‑Ray, Revit, SketchUp, etc., or in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Unity, Arduino.
• Work with students of varying skill levels, from basics to complex problems.
• Create a welcoming environment that respects diverse cultures and languages.
• Complete administrative tasks, including session descriptions and daily attendance summaries.
• Lead in‑class workshops and specialized ULC workshops.
