Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a Software Quality Engineer I–II to join the Software Quality Engineering team in a hybrid role across multiple offices including Salt Lake City and Boise. You will prevent, detect and automate defects, and collaborate with development to ensure testability and quality throughout the release cycle.

The role requires hands-on testing across web, mobile and database applications, experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices, and strong communication

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or related field; experience in one programming language.
• SQA I requires foundational testing experience; SQA II requires 3 years QA/testing, 1 year automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Ruby, Python or C#).

Responsibilities

• Participate on project scrum team and defect triage team using agile practices.
• Review user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, designs, code and tests for quality.
• Develop, automate and execute unit, component and system-level tests; write automated and manual cases.
• Report test results, defect verification, and assess impact of changes on tests.
• Ensure testability and coverage meet project requirements; mentor on coverage and stability.
• Collaborate with Development to define requirements, design, and implementation for testability and reliability.
• Use metrics to drive process effectiveness and monitor testing progress.
• Collaborate on integration and system-level tests; escalate issues when needed.
