Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a hybrid Software Engineer / Scrum Master for our Colorado Springs-based team. The role blends hands-on software development with servant leadership to improve agile delivery and engineering excellence.

You will facilitate ceremonies, guide PI planning, and work closely with the Product Owner while coding, testing, and maintaining complex applications and automation pipelines. A minimum of 3 years in software teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent
• Experience: 3+ years as software engineer, systems engineer, or technical contributor supporting software teams
• Technical skills: Java/J2EE required; C++ beneficial; automated testing, build pipelines, configuration management
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence to support agile teams

Responsibilities

• Facilitate agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives
• Guide PI planning, feature decomposition, and cross-team dependency management
• Design, code, test, debug, and maintain software applications and automation tools
• Develop and maintain secure build and deployment pipelines
• Decompose requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria
• Remove impediments to ensure steady sprint and program increment delivery
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to maintain alignment
