Job summary

Everforth ECS in Fairfax, VA is seeking a proactive Scrum Master to guide one or more agile development teams within a DevSecOps environment supporting U.S. Government mission partners.

You will facilitate ceremonies, maintain backlogs, coach teams in SAFe and Scrum, and remove impediments to enable timely delivery of sprint and program objectives. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of certified Scrum Master experience, an active DoD clearance, strong communication skills, and fluency with Jira

Qualifications

• US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Three or more years as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer on medium to large Agile programs.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum; SAFe 6.0 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams, ensuring Scrum principles, SAFe practices, and Agile methodologies are consistently understood, adopted, and followed.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Release Planning, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
• Partner with Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and stakeholders to define, refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint priorities.
• Champion Agile best practices and coach teams to foster collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and a high-performing Agile culture.
• Act as a servant leader by removing impediments, resolving conflicts, managing dependencies, and enabling teams to successfully deliver sprint and program objectives.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements, translating business needs into actionable user stories and backlog items.
• Manage Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools to maintain sprint and product backlogs, track work, and provide transparency into team progress.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate Agile metrics, dashboards, sprint velocity, burndown charts, release status, and other delivery metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate multiple application development efforts and cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced DevSecOps environment.
• Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and blockers, proactively driving them to resolution.
• Coordinate Maintenance Window activities, ticket management, change implementation, and post-maintenance reporting.
• Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of new capabilities that enhance mission assurance and operational management functions.
• Prepare executive briefings, status reports, presentations, and communications for program leadership and Government stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, documenting decisions, capturing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Assist project and program managers with planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, documentation, quality reviews, and overall project execution.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, knowledge management artifacts, and other program documentation.
• Support daily operational activities for leadership and technical teams through cross-functional coordination and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
• Build strong partnerships across engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, program management, and customer organizations to ensure priorities remain aligned and mission objectives are achieved.
