Qualifications

• Experience in software asset life cycle management planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, and disposal.
• Experience with software asset management tools and automated discovery.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, on-site and remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop software asset management standards, plans, and procedures.
• Enter and maintain information on software assets in the approved asset tracking system to address budgeting, compliance, inventory, contracts, and costs.
• Provide recommendations for software procurements based on utilization and needs.
• Forecast future technology needs by liaising with other departments.
• Identify savings opportunities for renewals, licensing, and services.
• Define software configuration standards and evaluation criteria for acquisitions.
• Recommend improvements for efficient asset management across the enterprise.
• Create custom reports and compare data from multiple sources.
• Create new software models using SAM Pro.
• Enter entitlements and contracts and link them.
• Review software normalization and discovery mappings.
• Manage non-standard and new software requests.
• Check license availability for active models.
• Define metrics, gather data, and report effectiveness of SAM processes.
