Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a hybrid contract position in Plano, TX. The role emphasizes automation, IaC (Terraform), and cloud technologies with on-call duties.

The candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on SRE experience, with Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Python, and cloud platforms. The position requires collaboration with development and production support teams in a dynamic financial service environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Terraform Enterprise, Ansible Automation, and Cloud environments.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Golang, and shell scripting.
• Strong experience in major services related to Compute, Storage, Network, and Security.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Dynatrace, and cloud native tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Strong understanding of complex infrastructure, including RHEL and Windows Servers, OpenShift containers, Terraform, and Azure/AWS virtual resources.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Git/Jenkins and the GitOps model.
• Excellent understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems administration.
• Experience in Jira, Remedy, and other workload management tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams.
• Implement measures prescribed by the Senior SRE and SRE teams.
• Ensure appropriate instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, alerting, and on-call routines are in place.
• Advocate and advance more efficient solution delivery practices.
• Decompose issues or objectives into units of work for other team members.
