Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role requiring at least three days onsite per week in Plano, TX, with options to work in Charlotte, NC or Pennington, NJ. This contract position focuses on building cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform and developing landing zones for scalable data platforms.

Responsibilities include designing CI/CD pipelines, implementing security patterns with Information Security, and partnering with teams to deliver the engineering

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principals.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
• 3-5 years of significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules.
• Experience in DevOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.
• Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Expertise in programming and infra-automation tools – Terraform, Ansible, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Write public cloud infrastructure as code automation using Terraform.
• Design and develop public cloud landing zones automation to build core cloud foundational platform services.
• Develop cloud services provisioning automation with IAM, network, security policies as code, and observability.
• Implement resiliency, observability, and FinOps to enable data PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain cloud services catalog for app developers and devops teams.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to build the cloud data analytics platform.
• Collaborate with product management and operations to deliver the engineering roadmap.
• Partner with Information Security to engineer secure app patterns.
• Translate business requirements into technical definitions and blueprints for deployment.
