Genesis10 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a hybrid role (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

The individual in this role is responsible for directly partnering with Application Development and Production Support teams to implement reliability measures. This role will ensure instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, and alerting are in place for key services, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and observability tooling.
• Strong collaboration across global teams and stakeholders.
• Experience implementing reliability measures and automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to implement monitoring capabilities
• Mentor SRE resources on reliability practices and tools
• Develop and maintain reliability scripts and libraries for instrumentation and automation
• Partner to implement code changes using common reliability libraries and tools
• Engage in major incident triage efforts and root-cause analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce noise in monitoring
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems
