Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) IT Division seeks a Network Analyst I to support enterprise server, hosting, and virtualization environments. You will assist in incident response, upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery while aligning with security and regulatory requirements.

Role emphasizes collaboration with multiple teams and ongoing improvement of infrastructure reliability in a hybrid onsite environment located in Morganton, NC.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or hosted environments.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including storage, backups, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and system monitoring.
• Familiarity with infrastructure security principles, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise server, hosting, and virtualization environments across the Department.
• Provide operational support, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation assistance for physical and virtual server environments, operating systems, hosting platforms, storage systems, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Collaborate with application teams, cybersecurity, networking, clinical informatics, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain stable, secure hosting services supporting EHR systems, enterprise apps, and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Participate in incident response, system upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery activities, and infrastructure lifecycle management with focus on security, privacy, and resiliency.
