Trabus Technologies in San Diego, CA, searches for a Senior UX/UI Engineer with Product Owner and project management experience to drive product strategy end-to-end for data-intensive, AI/ML-enabled Navy programs. This senior role blends hands-on frontend work with roadmap ownership and stakeholder leadership.

You will lead backlogs, manage multiple concurrent efforts, mentor engineers, and design systems using React, Vue, or Angular while collaborating with backend teams to deliver integrated

Qualifications

• 5+ years frontend experience with React/Vue/Angular.
• 3+ years in Product Owner/PM or similar leadership role.
• Ability to translate user research into product strategy and design/code changes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and backlog management, including with government customers.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript (5+ years).
• Experience consuming RESTful/GraphQL APIs and frontend-data integration.
• Familiar with CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog; write user stories and acceptance criteria with engineering leads and government stakeholders.
• Lead requirements gathering, roadmap planning, and sprint execution across multiple efforts as Product Owner/PM for design and frontend.
• Facilitate Agile activities: sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives; manage schedules and risk.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend interfaces using React, Vue, or Angular.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder feedback to drive UI/UX improvements.
• Translate feedback/wireframes into production-ready frontend code and product requirements.
• Serve as liaison between design/engineering and government stakeholders; translate requirements into roadmaps.
• Mentor junior UI/UX and frontend engineers; provide design direction.
• Develop and maintain component libraries and design systems for UI consistency.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and present data effectively.
