Job summary

Urban Engineers, Inc. in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Senior Project Manager for highways to lead transportation design from concept through construction. You will manage diverse projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and oversee QA/QC while mentoring staff.

The role offers hybrid hours and strong opportunities for client development and project growth. The position requires a PE license in NJ, 15+ years in transportation design, and proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of transportation design, permitting, and project management.
• Experience with NJDEP, NEPA process, environmental permitting a plus.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, NJ Counties and/or MPOs.
• Strong client management, communications and organizational skills.
• Experience writing technical proposals preferred.
• Proficient with Bentley MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads and related software.
• Willingness to mentor and lead junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects of varying size and complexity in transportation design.
• Collaborate with bridge, traffic, environmental teams on multi-discipline projects.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate project phases from concept to construction.
• Prepare design computations, construction and environmental documents.
• Provide QA/QC of design materials and oversight to the design team.
• Support business development and client management activities.
