Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior Structural – Transmission Line Engineer to work on large-scale 345kV+ projects, including HVDC, within a hybrid work setting. You will support design engineering and analysis, develop equipment recommendations, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 11 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of power line software (PLS family) and 3D analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provides guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes.
• Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Develops and applies advanced engineering solutions to complex problems.
• Manages budget, schedule, and quality requirements for projects.
• Coordinates with internal/external teams and mentors junior staff.
• Maintains client relations and supports business development activities.
