Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide senior engineering on complex HV and EHV overhead transmission projects, including line routing, PLS-CADD modeling, structure design, and permit coordination.

Based in Bozeman, MT, this hybrid role requires a BS in Engineering, PE certification, and 8+ years of transmission line experience; you will mentor teammates, attend client meetings, and lead design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• 8+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry is required.
• Experience using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines is required.
• Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.
• Experience liaising with substation, environmental, ROW construction and maintenance stakeholders.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve PLS-CADD Criteria.
• Schedule project tasks for project support team.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings.
• Complete design review meetings with the client.
• Mentor/train other engineering team members.
• Attend internal design review meetings.
