Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for Capital Projects in Houston, TX, offering a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for electric capital infrastructure projects, interfacing with project teams, clients, engineering and construction stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have Primavera P6 expertise, a strong background in project controls, and at least seven years

Qualifications

• Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with practical application of project controls.
• 7+ years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to project success.
• Advanced MS Excel and/or MS Access skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support schedule requirements per client procedures.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights.
• Support schedule contingency management and risk identification.
• Provide regular updates and report deviations from baseline.
• Proactively manage schedule variances and investigate deviations.
• Support month-end closing and phase gate processes.
• Ensure standardized file locations for schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble documents to meet client requests.
• Analyze data and build reports for monitoring and decision making.
• Interface with project management to monitor schedule performance.
• Interface with cost analysts to develop time-phased forecasts.
• Travel to client offices for coordination meetings if needed.
