Job summary

GEI Consultants seeks an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join the Risk Management Team in Wakefield, MA. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating project, contract, and execution risks, working with Corporate Counsel and the Director of Risk Management to strengthen GEI’s risk program.

Requirements include 15+ years in risk-related roles within A/E/C, with 10+ years in contract negotiations and dispute resolution, and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience, including 10+ years in contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and risk management in the A/E/C industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Formal training in contract risk management preferred.
• Practical knowledge of the A/E/C industry and understanding of contract terms and implications.

Responsibilities

• Track external trends, benchmarks, and industry best practices around risk management in the A/E/C industry and make recommendations.
• Negotiate contracts and business terms with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and subconsultants.
• Identify company, contract, and execution risks and develop mitigation plans to proactively manage those risks.
• Work with insurance brokers and underwriters to satisfy client insurance requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers and senior management to resolve contractual questions on time.
