Job summary

NRECA is seeking a senior-level retirement plan compliance professional to advise member cooperatives and internal staff on compliance with defined contribution and defined benefit plans. You will analyze complex testing results, advise on plan design and risk mitigation, and ensure adherence to IRC, ERISA and DOL requirements, with hybrid work flexibility up to 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 8–10 years of compliance experience with defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
• Professional certifications (QKA, QPA, CEBS or equivalent).
• Specialized knowledge of DOL, IRC, and ERISA requirements for qualified retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex tests of retirement plan compliance and analyze results.
• Summarize findings, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review adoption agreements, special programs, and complex transactions for compliance.
• Lead domestic relations orders project work and document processes.
• Lead safe harbor plan design activities and coordinate with co-ops.
• Report to the office when required.
