Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure initiatives in the Welkom region. You will drive multi-stakeholder projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and stringent safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure development.
• Proven experience managing budgets exceeding R50 million and leading teams of 15 or more.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
• Excellent understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and change control processes.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels within Welkom.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for various infrastructure projects.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with project objectives and expectations.
• Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations to ensure optimal value and quality.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols specific to Welkom.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for continuous improvement in future project management practices.
