Job summary

IDB Invest in Washington DC is seeking a Senior Project Manager Consultant to lead the Core Lending Solution Modernization Project, coordinating across Finance, Risk, IT and business stakeholders for governance, scope, schedule, and delivery.

You will manage vendor and system integrator performance, align with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall, and ensure readiness, testing, and deployment with strong governance and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or business administration.
• 10+ years of IT project management experience leading large cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate business, technical, vendor, SI, compliance, testing, deployment, and change‑enablement streams and track decisions.
• Develop and maintain charter, scope baseline, integrated plan, milestones, budget, and calendars.
• Manage governance structures and prepare executive progress reports.
• Maintain RAID and logs; escalate changes through the change-control process.
• Coordinate vendor and system integrator deliverables, milestones, actions, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee architecture, integrations, data migration, and end‑to‑end traceability.
• Coordinate testing governance across SIT, UAT, regression, and readiness.
• Coordinate compliance reviews and documentation per requirements.
• Lead business readiness, communications, training, deployment, and operational transition.
• Oversee project closure, lessons learned, and transition to operations.
