Empirical is looking for a high-impact Program Manager in Washington, D.C. to lead a significant financial systems modernization effort. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of program/project management experience, particularly in IT or financial systems, and a Master's degree in a related field.

This role involves cutting over from legacy to modern platforms and demands exceptional leadership, clear communication, and a capacity for ensuring successful transitions in a complex environment.

Competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000/year, along with comprehensive benefits including a matching 401k and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program/project management experience in IT or financial systems.
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle experience including cutover execution.
• Ability to obtain federal background investigation or security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive a large-scale financial system cutover from legacy platforms.
• Oversee development of lifecycle documentation and project plans.
• Facilitate collaboration across program leadership and technical teams.
• Support test planning, execution, and evaluation reporting.
• Lead Business Process Reengineering and Change Management efforts.
• Manage program records to ensure transparency and control.
• Provide analytical assessments and recommendations to leadership.
• Support cutover planning and post-implementation stabilization.
