Job summary

The Haskell Company in Frisco, TX is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead estimates and budgets on large water projects. You will manage preconstruction efforts, coordinate with design teams, and drive value engineering to optimize cost and schedule.

You will mentor a team of preconstruction professionals, ensure consistent estimating practices, and build strong subcontractor relationships. Travel 10-25% as needed; required bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent plus 10 years of experience; or 15 years in construction.
• Experience in water and wastewater construction, estimating, scheduling, cost control and vendor relationships.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project handoff skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts across multiple projects or large, complex pursuits.
• Mentor Precon Managers and Preconstruction Specialists.
• Oversee budgeting, value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop and manage subcontractor outreach and bidding strategies.
• Coordinate with design teams to influence cost, scope and schedule.
• Assist with buyout, change orders, and lessons learned.
