Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage month-end and year-end close processes for assigned clients. You will prepare financial statements, notes to the financials, and analysis of variances while coordinating with the engagement partner and external auditors.

You will mentor staff, ensure internal controls, and oversee tax-related filings such as Form 990 and year-end 1099s, while applying knowledge of accounting software across client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting/audit.
• CPA or equivalent certification pursued or maintained.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as client needs require.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and notes.
• Coordinate with engagement partner on progress and issues.
• Lead engagement team and interact with external auditors.
• Prepare and review Form 990 and 1099 year-end filings.
• Develop and enforce client internal controls and procedures.
• Mentor and supervise staff accountants.
