Job summary

Systems Engineering seeks a full-time Network Engineer III in Portland, Maine. This client-facing role designs, implements, maintains, and supports advanced networking, security, and collaboration solutions for businesses.

You will work with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and collaboration systems, collaborating with clients and internal teams to keep environments secure, reliable, and aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of professional technology experience, incl. three years in a service-based environment.
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Fortinet NSE4/NSE7 certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate/ FortiAP/ FortiSwitch and Cisco Meraki/SASE/Forti products.
• Solid understanding of OSI model and core networking principles.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network, system, and performance issues.
• Design, implement, and integrate networking, security, and collaboration technologies within client environments.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and partner with Account Managers on proposals.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours project work.
• Obtain and maintain relevant certifications.
