World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C. seeks a Senior Specialist for NbS Project Development and Finance to advance WWF's conservation finance goals.

The role is full-time and hybrid in Washington, DC, with a two-year limited-term appointment and no visa sponsorship. The Senior Specialist will support the Nature Markets Unit by developing carbon and NbS projects, maintaining core financial models, and guiding deal teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years (OR advanced degree with 3+ years) of relevant experience.
• Experience in project development, carbon or NbS projects and related methodologies.
• Strong financial modeling and business analysis for NbS or nature-related finance structures.
• Excellent written and oral communication for investor memos and presentations.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and potentially extended missions to develop projects.

Responsabilidades

• Support NMU deal leads in origination, design, and development of carbon and NbS products.
• Advise deal teams on carbon project development, market methodologies, and standards.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate deal structures and investment returns.
• Collaborate with WWF teams and partners to optimize costs, maximize community benefits, and govern projects.
• Align projects with international standards and WWF processes and impact goals.
• Conduct assessments of projects focusing on climate, biodiversity, and social outcomes.
• Manage project delivery and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects.
• Support market research, fundraising, and market outreach as needed.
