The Senior Specialist will support NMU deal leads with origination, design, and development of carbon and NbS products, maintaining financial models, and ensuring alignment with international standards and WWF priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of NbS or carbon project experience.
• Experience developing baselines, feasibility studies, PDDs, etc.
• Strong financial modeling for NbS or nature-related finance structures.
• Excellent written and oral communication for WWF management and partners.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and potentially extended missions.

Responsibilities

• Originate, design, and develop carbon and NbS products with focus on carbon removal credits.
• Advise on carbon project development, methodologies, standards, and market expectations.
• Build and maintain financial models evaluating deal structures and returns.
• Collaborate with partners and WWF teams to optimize costs and governance.
• Align projects with international standards and WWF impact goals.
• Assess projects for climate, social, and biodiversity outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects and stakeholder engagement.
• Support market research, process improvements, or fundraising efforts.
