Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Engineer, Machine Learning Research and Development to lead applied AI/ML initiatives in biopharmaceutical development. You will build models, define roadmaps, and enable project teams to make data-driven decisions, working closely with scientists and IT to create scalable data workflows.

Qualifications

• PhD in Science, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Data Science, (AI/ML) or related field.
• 2 years of experience in ML R&D or related Senior Engineer ML role.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical development or related field is a plus.
• Strong programming and data wrangling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic roadmap and capabilities for applied AI/ML in Biopharmaceutical development.
• Build novel machine learning models to support decision making for development projects.
• Deliver user-ready solutions and enable project teams to use models and consult with model builders.
• Collaborate with IT to create data flows enabling data block generation for modeling.
• Advise teams on data-driven experiments and transforming historical data into knowledge.
• Support faster, more robust biologics process development via modeling.
• Identify opportunities for IP generation and accelerate development.
