Job summary

Latitude Legal Recruitment Limited seeks experienced Litigation Paralegals for permanent, full-time roles with a civil litigation defense firm in downtown Chicago and additional offices in other states. The team supports asbestos defense and toxic tort matters, with hybrid scheduling requiring two days in-office (Tue/Thu) and remote work the other three days.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of substantive litigation paralegal experience, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Experience supporting attorneys through discovery, depositions, motions, and trial prep.
• Strong understanding of court procedures, deadlines, e-filing, and document management.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with litigation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage case files and calendars from intake to resolution across multiple matters.
• Draft, respond to, and coordinate discovery and document production.
• Prepare deposition materials and assist with scheduling and follow-up.
• Assist with motion practice, including cite-checking and exhibit prep.
• Prepare and file pleadings and court documents electronically per rules.
• Support trial prep with exhibits, witness files, and logistics.
• Coordinate communication among attorneys, clients, vendors, and court personnel.
