Johnson & Bell, Trial Lawyers seeks a full-time Litigation Paralegal in Chicago to support a fast-paced defense practice focused on toxic tort, product liability, premises liability, and complex commercial disputes. The role requires organized, detail-oriented professionals who can manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate and at least three years of law firm experience, with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required; both preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of law firm experience.
• Experience in civil litigation, including product liability, premises liability, and/or toxic tort litigation is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Gather detailed exposure histories from clients and manage case intake.
• Request, organize, and review medical records and prepare summaries.
• Research chemicals, products, manufacturers, and related parties for exposure cases.
• Locate and coordinate with expert witnesses and medical consultants; organize related materials.
• Draft and organize discovery, pleadings, deposition exhibits, and witness files.
• Assist attorneys with depositions, trial preparation, and case management.
• Communicate case status and deadlines to clients.
