Job summary

MMD Services Inc. in Houston is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the health and performance of a large VMware vSphere/ESXi environment and to drive automation across Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat platforms powering AI workloads.

You will manage both Windows and Linux ecosystems, craft Ansible-driven provisioning, and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services while collaborating with a global team on a hybrid schedule (three days onsite in Houston, two days

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Practical experience with container technologies in production (Kubernetes & Docker).
• Strong automation experience with Ansible/Tower.

Responsibilities

• Own the health and performance of a VMware vSphere/ESXi platform as the infrastructure heartbeat.
• Engage with a modern tech stack including Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat container platforms for AI workloads.
• Maintain/triage large Windows and Linux environments, addressing authentication, access, and outages.
• Build and refine automation using Ansible playbooks to streamline provisioning and configuration at scale.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services across a multi-region environment.
• Assist with Azure IaaS operations (VMs, RBAC, backup, DR) as needed.
• Contribute to on-call rotations (every 8 weeks) and monthly maintenance windows.
