Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Fidelity/ Crime Division is seeking a Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst to join the team in Windsor, CT. On-site four days a week with one remote day, the role analyzes financial results, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to support strategic decision making.

You will develop reporting tools, collaborate with Underwriting, Claims and Senior Management, and provide ad hoc analyses to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Generally, 10+ years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
• Property & Casualty insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Tableau, Cognos, Adaptive or related tools.

Responsibilities

• Completes financial, business, and operational analyses to support divisional strategy and decision-making.
• Supports development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Performs quarterly forecasting by analyzing actual results and trends.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly management reporting on financial performance.
• Performs variance analysis and explains financial results and trends.
• Analyzes premium, losses, expenses, and profitability to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develops and maintains reporting tools, dashboards, and models.
• Partners with Underwriting, Claims and Senior Management to improve financial performance.
• Provides recurring and ad hoc analyses to support decisions and initiatives.
• Identifies opportunities to improve financial processes and data quality.
