Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Facility Planner/Senior Project Manager to independently and collaboratively lead federal planning projects, including DoD and intelligence-related work. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop operational strategies, and document planning analyses to support space needs and future requirements.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in land use and site planning, plus proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional planning experience; degrees or certifications may substitute for experience.
• Experience leading multiple planning teams and projects as Senior Planner/Senior Project Manager.
• Experience in land use planning, site planning and/or site design.
• Ability to cultivate positive relationships with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Military planning experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS is beneficial.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with some office presence in San Diego.
• Travel to fulfill the position and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning efforts independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage multiple planning projects including DoD and federal citations.
• Prepare planning recommendations, DD 1391 forms, and related documentation.
• Develop scope, schedules, and graphic components for plans.
• Maintain financial performance across large planning assignments.
• Foster client relationships and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal English, including technical writing.
