Job summary

TenCate Grass Holding is seeking a Senior Estimator to support the Midwest Region with heavy civil estimating and sitework. The role emphasizes developing accurate, competitive estimates for complex private and public projects, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and partnering with Operations and Project Management to pursue and execute bids.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive construction estimating experience with heavy civil and sitework.
• Demonstrated experience preparing detailed estimates and bid proposals for complex heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for heavy civil and sitework projects in the Midwest Region.
• Review civil plans, specs, bid documents, and site conditions to develop accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost assumptions for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotations to ensure scope coverage and competitiveness.
• Analyze project risks, schedule considerations, and site logistics impacting pricing.
• Maintain organized estimating files, bid documentation, and pricing support.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Management to ensure smooth handoffs of awarded work.
